J. Michael Maxwell, MD
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Owner
J. Michael Maxwell, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine. Dr. Maxwell obtained his B.S. at Tulane University majoring in biology with minors in Chemistry, Math and English. He received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas and completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. During his medical studies Dr. Maxwell studied at Oxford University in Oxford England an St. Mary's Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Maxwell has published several articles in AAOS now. He currently volunteers as the team physician for Adrian College. He also has volunteered for various activities as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Maxwell was selected to serve as Chief of Surgery at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian Michigan from 2002-2003. He has a special interest in treating shoulder and knee problems and his practice is open to ages 3-100. Dr. Maxwell boasts unique treatment options like regenerative medicine and viscosupplementation. In addition, Dr. Maxwell is one of a very limited number of specialists who have received special training at Johns Hopkins under Dr. A. Lee Dellon to detect and relieve symptoms of diabetic neuropathy.
Dr. Maxwell became the owner of Bone & Joint Medical Center in 1987 and recently opened a satellite office in Dundee, Michigan where he continues to provide the Midwest with quality orthopedic care.

Todd Nighswander, MPT
Physical Therapist
Todd has been the clinical manager of Bone & Joint Physical Therapy for 5 years. He received his Bachelors in Health Sciences, in 1993, and Masters in Physical Therapy, in 1995, both from the University of Michigan. Since graduating from Michigan, Todd has practiced soley in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. He has attended numerous continuing education courses over the years focusing on the evaluation and treatment of shoulder, knee, spine and foot/ankle conditions. He enjoys working with local athletes on sport specific training and performance enhancement specialized to their individual sport. He has written and instructed educational sessions for many local organizations / companies on body mechanics, postural education and lifting mechanics. Todd prides himself in getting to know his clients and their conditions attempting to treat the person "as a whole" and not just the injury. Treatment programs are individualized for every client and modified according to their needs and individual goals of returning to function.
Todd has been a long time resident of Lenawee County graduating from Deerfield High School. He currently resides in Deerfield with his family. While not assisting patients get well at Bone & Joint, Todd serves as the Village President of the Village of Deerfield. He has been active in local government since 1998 and believes that getting involved locally with the Village and Deerfield Schools are a way to make a greater impact within the County.

Shawna Rohrbach, OT(C)
Office Manager
Shawna manages Bone & Joint Medical Center in addition to her role as a Certified Orthopedic Technologist. A graduate of Onsted High School she attended the Orthopedic Institute in Florida, receiving her degree as a Certified Orthopedic Technologist. As a member of the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals, she has additional certifications in orthopedic radiography, specialty casting and custom bracing. Her career with BJMC began in July of 1988. Shawna resides in Lenawee County with her husband and twin boys. She spends most of her spare time with her family and interacting with the twin's sporting events. |

Michele Worker
Medical Records Specialist
Michele serves as the medical records coordinator at Bone & Joint Medical Center. She has been with Bone & Joint since 1995. Michele has been in the medical/dental field for 23 years. She attends several seminars annually to stay informed on the many aspects of the business and clinical sides of the practice, including medical records laws, in PI, HIPPA and OSHA guidelines. A native of Munster, Indiana, she moved to the Tecumseh area in 1988, where she resides with her husband and two children. |

Jill Wimmer
Billing Specialist
Jill joined the Bone & Joint Medical Center team as a billing specialist in 2003. A member of the Michigan Medical Billing Association, she attends many billing seminars every year to keep current on insurance changes, coding changes, collection laws, and medical billing laws. In the medical field since 1995, Jill is knowledgable of many billing rules in several different fields, having worked in women's health, internal medicine, cardiology and now orthopedic. A native of Clawson, Michigan, she lives with her husband and son in Adrian. |

Amy Ollett-Allen, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Amy has been with Bone & Joint Physical Therapy since its inception in 1998. She graduated in 1997 from Baker College of Muskegon with an associates degree in applied sicence, emphasis on physical therapy assisting. Amy's
prior work experience includes in-patient and out-patient orthopedics, home care, pediatrics and neurologic rehabilitation. |

Pamela Maxwell
Nerve Testing Technician
Pamela is certified by Sensory Management Services to perform Neurosensory testing using the PSSD. She earned her BSN at Mankato State University in 1972 and worked mostly in pediatrics and med-surg floors as a charge nurse. She retired in 1981 to become a full time mother to her three children. She lives in Adrian with her husband and six Italian Greyhounds. |

Eric D. Driver, ROT, CSCS
Eric is a graduate of Adrian College where he earned a BA in Biology in 2003. While at Adrian he interned here at BJMC. He went on to study clinical medicine in Grand Rapids before he returned to Adrian re-joining BJMC and earning a certificate as a registered orthopedic technologist in 2007. He also works locally, doing strength training and conditioning with athletes and individuals with orthopedic injuries. Eric and his wife, Kristyn currently reside in Ann Arbor and have a child on the way in the summer of 2008. Eric enjoys competing in triathlons, playing golf, baseball and hockey.
